CM 1er Cru Morgeot

CM 1er Cru Morgeot
Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru from one of the best sites in the village – the Morgeot is known for Chardonnays with weight and simultaneous precision, which bring Burgundy's white wine south to the point.
Domaine Bertrand Bachelet has been cultivating plots in Chassagne-Montrachet for generations. The winery stands for artisanally careful vinification: hand-picking, gentle pressing, aging in wooden barrels. The Morgeot benefits from the limestone-rich, clayey soils of the site – they give the wine its characteristic fullness without heaviness.
In the glass, the 2023 shows ripe white peaches, hazelnut, and a hint of toasted brioche from the barrel aging. The acidity is present but embedded in a full, creamy body. The finish is long, with a mineral-chalky note that is typical for the Morgeot soils.
- Food: Roasted lobster, scallops with saffron sauce, veal medallions in cream, or mature Comté
- Temperature: 12–14 °C
