Gevrey Chambertin Les Seuvrees

Gevrey Chambertin Les Seuvrees
A classic Gevrey-Chambertin from northern Burgundy – with the typical profile of the appellation: dark berry fruit, earth and a structured tannin structure that promises aging potential.
Domaine Bertrand Bachelet is a family-run winery in the Côte de Nuits. The Les Seuvrees vineyard lies within the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin, on limestone-clay soils – the foundation for the mineral depth that characterizes this appellation. Pure Pinot Noir, vinified using traditional methods.
The glass reveals blackberry and sour cherry, underpinned by violets, damp earth, and a hint of licorice. The palate is medium-bodied with present but not harsh tannins and a lively acidity that carries the finish. Classic Burgundian – not an oak monster, but fruit with substance.
Drinking recommendation: Drinkable now, drinking window until approx. 2030. Serving temperature 16–17 °C. Pairs well with Coq au Vin, braised lamb shoulder or a mature Époisses.
