CM 1er Cru Morgeot
Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru from one of the best sites in the village – Morgeot is known for Chardonnays with weight and precision that perfectly encapsulate Burgundy's southern white wines.
Domaine Bertrand Bachelet has been cultivating vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet for generations. The winery is known for its meticulous, artisanal winemaking: hand-harvesting, gentle pressing, and aging in oak barrels. The Morgeot grapes benefit from the calcareous, clay-rich soils of the vineyard, which give the wine its characteristic richness without heaviness.
In the glass, the 2023 vintage displays ripe white peaches, hazelnut, and a hint of toasted brioche from barrel aging. The acidity is present but integrated into a full, creamy body. The finish is long, with a mineral, chalky note typical of the Morgeot soils.
