St. Aubin is located right behind Chassagne-Montrachet – and the Roche Dumay site shows why the village is one of the most exciting white wine addresses in the Côte de Beaune. Limestone-weathered soil, southeastern exposure, moderate altitude: ideal conditions for Chardonnay with structure and freshness.

Domaine Bertrand Bachelet cultivates its plots in St. Aubin with the care usually associated with the big names in Puligny or Meursault. Hand-picking, gentle pressing, aging in Burgundy barrels – some of them new, to allow the natural minerality of the terroir space without masking it.

In the glass, the Roche Dumay shows light golden yellow. On the nose, white peach, citrus zest, and a distinct chalky tone, which is typical for the limestone soils of St. Aubin. On the palate, lively acidity, medium body, a slightly nutty melt on the finish – classic Côte de Beaune structure without heaviness.
