Argiano Solengo Toscana IGT Magnum

Solengo is Argiano's grand cuvée statement: a Tuscan red wine that combines the power of the region with international grape variety logic — structured, deep and designed for aging.

Argiano is located in southern Montalcino, on a hill overlooking the Val d'Orcia. Founded in the 16th century, the winery is now one of the most renowned producers in the region. Besides Brunello di Montalcino, Solengo has been the estate's flagship wine since the 1990s—a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Petit Verdot, aged in new French oak barrels.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red color. The nose opens with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and cassis, underpinned by notes of cedar, dark chocolate, and a hint of graphite. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with firm but well-integrated tannins and lively acidity as a counterpoint—not a heavy, flat southern wine, but a red with drive and length. The finish is long, with tobacco and a touch of toasted wood.

The magnum bottle (1.5 l) matures more slowly than the standard bottle — ideal if you plan to cellar the wine for several years. Drinking window: now until 2032+.

Argiano

Argiano – for centuries, this name has stood for Tuscan winemaking at its finest. The estate lies in the heart of the Brunello zone, not far from Montalcino, where red soil, sun, and rugged hills provide the grapes with everything they need. What is produced here is not your average wine. The Sangiovese vines root deeply and ripen slowly – and you can taste it in the glass: a velvety texture, dark cherries, a hint of tobacco and earth. Powerful, yet elegant. Argiano combines tradition with modern thinking – in the vineyard as well as in the cellar. The result is wines that will stay with you long after you've finished tasting them.
