Argiano NC Toscana IGT

The NC Toscana IGT from Argiano is a Tuscan blend red wine that shows what happens when Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon land in the right hands.

The Argiano winery is located in Montalcino, right at the foot of the hill famous for Brunello sites. The soils – marl, clay, sandstone – give the wine a mineral basic tension that is clearly felt in a good vintage. With the NC (Non Confunditur, "unmistakable"), Argiano has created a wine that consciously plays outside the Brunello DOC boundaries and allows more freedom in the grape variety composition.

In the glass: dark cherry, blackberry, and a hint of graphite. The Merlot brings melt and texture, the Cabernet Sauvignon a clear line of blackcurrant, the Sangiovese earthy spice and length. Tannins are present but integrated – the finish remains warm and persistent.

Argiano

Argiano – for centuries, this name has stood for Tuscan winemaking at its finest. The estate lies in the heart of the Brunello zone, not far from Montalcino, where red soil, sun, and rugged hills provide the grapes with everything they need. What is produced here is not your average wine. The Sangiovese vines root deeply and ripen slowly – and you can taste it in the glass: a velvety texture, dark cherries, a hint of tobacco and earth. Powerful, yet elegant. Argiano combines tradition with modern thinking – in the vineyard as well as in the cellar. The result is wines that will stay with you long after you've finished tasting them.
