Argiano Solengo Toscana IGT
Solengo is Argiano's big cuvée project — a wine that shows what Tuscany can do beyond Sangiovese.
The Argiano winery is located in the southwest of the Brunello region near Montalcino, directly at the foot of Monte Amiata. The vineyards benefit from continental temperature variations between day and night—ideal for structure and depth of fruit. The Solengo is a Bordeaux-inspired blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Petit Verdot, aged in new French oak barrels.
In the glass, it displays dark blackberry, cassis, and black cherry, underpinned by cedarwood, roasted coffee beans, and a hint of graphite. The tannins are present but well-integrated—firm yet velvety. The finish is long and spicy, maintaining the fruit flavors until the very end.
Drinking suggestion: Drinkable now, but will continue to develop until 2030+. Decanting recommended (at least 1 hour). Serving temperature 17–18 °C. Pairs well with braised lamb shoulder, Bistecca alla Fiorentina, or mature Pecorino di Pienza.

Argiano – for centuries, this name has stood for Tuscan winemaking at its finest. The estate lies in the heart of the Brunello zone, not far from Montalcino, where red soil, sun, and rugged hills provide the grapes with everything they need. What is produced here is not your average wine. The Sangiovese vines root deeply and ripen slowly – and you can taste it in the glass: a velvety texture, dark cherries, a hint of tobacco and earth. Powerful, yet elegant. Argiano combines tradition with modern thinking – in the vineyard as well as in the cellar. The result is wines that will stay with you long after you've finished tasting them.
