Argiano Solengo Toscana IGT double magnum

The Solengo is Argiano's answer to the great Super Tuscans: a cuvée with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Petit Verdot that combines power with finesse. The double magnum (3 liters) is not only suitable for special occasions – it also promotes long-term aging.

Argiano is located in Montalcino, on one of the most renowned hills in southern Tuscany. The winery looks back on a history that reaches into the 16th century and has been fundamentally modernized in recent decades. The sites benefit from the continental climate at 300–350 meters altitude: warm summers, cool nights, clay-rich Galestro soils.

In the glass, the Solengo shows dark blackberry, black cherry, and cassis, beneath which are cedar wood and graphite from the aging in new French barriques. The palate is dense and structured – ripe, well-integrated tannins, lively acidity, long finish with notes of dark chocolate and tobacco.

Argiano

Argiano – for centuries, this name has stood for Tuscan winemaking at its finest. The estate lies in the heart of the Brunello zone, not far from Montalcino, where red soil, sun, and rugged hills provide the grapes with everything they need. What is produced here is not your average wine. The Sangiovese vines root deeply and ripen slowly – and you can taste it in the glass: a velvety texture, dark cherries, a hint of tobacco and earth. Powerful, yet elegant. Argiano combines tradition with modern thinking – in the vineyard as well as in the cellar. The result is wines that will stay with you long after you've finished tasting them.
