10 Year Old Tawny Port 3.0L

The Taylor's 10 Year Old Tawny is a blend of port wines that have matured for an average of a decade – a warm, velvety port for long evenings and special occasions, now also available in a generous 3.0-liter bottle for the table or as a gift.

Taylor's is one of the most traditional houses in the Douro Valley, with lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia where the barrels mature in cool, damp air. The cuvée is based, among other things, on the Tinta Amarela grape variety, which gives the wine structure and spicy depth. The aging takes place exclusively in wooden barrels, in which the wines are stored for around ten years before they are carefully blended and bottled.

The nose reveals ripe dried fruits, caramel, walnut, and a fine wood spice that comes from the long barrel aging. Powerful and dense on the palate, with a velvety texture and a long, slightly nutty finish.

Serve it at 14 to 16 °C as a digestif after a meal, with dark chocolate, ripe blue cheese, or roasted nuts – the large bottle is particularly suitable for social gatherings.
