Wachtenburg Riesling 0.25L

A Riesling from the Palatinate that makes no compromises even in the small format: the 0.25-liter bottle from Wachtenburg Winzer is ideal as a single serving for meals or on the go.

The Wachtenburg winegrowers are a winegrowers' cooperative from Wachenheim on the German Wine Route, named after the medieval castle ruins that overlook the village. The Palatinate is considered one of the sunniest wine regions in Germany—ripe fruit meets the typical Riesling acidity, which gives the wines freshness and structure.

In the glass, this Riesling displays aromas of yellow apple, citrus peel, and a hint of white peach. The acidity is lively but not sharp, the finish fresh and pleasantly dry. An uncomplicated, everyday Riesling with clear varietal character.

Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C . It pairs well with tarte flambée, salads with goat cheese, or as an accompaniment to light pasta dishes. Its handy bottle size makes it a practical companion for picnics, train journeys, or lunch at the office.

Wachtenburg Winzer

The Wachtenburg Winzer eG cooperative from Wachenheim on the German Wine Route is one of the oldest winegrowers' cooperatives in the Palatinate region: founded in 1900 by 53 Palatinate winegrowers, it now represents the shared craft of 24 winegrowing families who cultivate 350 hectares together. It takes its name from the striking Wachtenburg castle ruins high above Wachenheim—a landmark that is literally reflected in the wines of this cooperative. The focus is on Riesling, but the range extends to over 13 white and 11 red grape varieties, catering to a wide variety of tastes. High-quality wine enjoyment at fair prices and careful stewardship of the vineyards—this is the shared philosophy that unites all these winegrowing families.
