Villa Maria Private Am Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough

Villa Maria Private Am Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough
Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc in its classic form: fresh, aromatic, with the typical energy of New Zealand's South Island.
Villa Maria is one of New Zealand's most renowned wineries – founded in Auckland in 1961 by George Fistonich, it now has vineyards in Marlborough and Hawke's Bay. The grapes for the Private Bin come from the Wairau Valley, where the continental climate and well-drained gravel soils allow for intense aromatic ripeness with lively acidity.
Straw yellow in the glass with green reflections. On the nose, gooseberry, lemongrass, and passion fruit, along with a fresh herbal note. On the palate, juicy and direct, with a clear acidity that makes the wine long and invigorating. No oak aging – the focus is on fruit and freshness.
Serve well chilled ( 8–10 °C ). Pairs well with grilled goat cheese, asparagus with vinaigrette, fried shrimp, or Asian dishes with lime and coriander. Best enjoyed young – within the next two to three years.
