Trenz Riesling Sparkling Wine Brut

Since 1670, the tradition of viticulture and wine production has been cultivated at the Trenz winery and has been in the family's possession since that time.

On 10 hectares of vineyards, 85% Riesling, 12% Pinot Noir, and 3% Pinot Blanc are planted.

Michael Trenz, a representative of the young generation of winemakers, has been managing the winery since 1998. His goal is to combine tradition with modernity while increasing quality as much as possible.

Goethe describes the Johannisberg site with the sentence: "The Johannisberg rules over everything."

As the "crown of the Rheingau," the protruding quartzite hill presents itself to all sides and, due to its southern slope and microclimate, fulfills the highest demands for the Riesling vine.

Vineyards at Johannisberg were first mentioned in documents as early as 817.

Over the centuries, numerous noble families, monasteries, and family businesses have settled around the Johannisberg and still practice viticulture today, e.g., Schloss Johannisberg, Schloss Vollrads, Prinz von Hessen, Baron von Brentano, and the Abbey of St. Hildegard, to name but a few.

Johannisberg owes its name "Village of Wine and Roses" to the lavishly spread adornment of blooming roses.
