Tradizione barrique Boccino 1.0L

The Tradizione Barrique from Bocchino is an Italian grappa with a wood influence. It feels rounder and warmer than an unaged pomace brandy, but retains the clarity of a distillate.

Bocchino comes from Piedmont, one of Italy's most traditional grappa regions. For this bottling, the distillate is aged for 12 to 18 months in French barriques. The oak gives the brandy structure and rounds off the edges.

On the nose, the Tradizione is intense and elegant. On the palate, a hint of vanilla and spices follows, as is typical for aging in oak wood.

Recommendation: Pour it neat at room temperature in a tulip glass, classically as a digestif after a meal. It also goes well with dark chocolate or matured hard cheese. The bottle holds a full liter and is enough for many convivial evenings.

The Distillery

Bocchino

Bocchino has stood for Piedmontese grappa tradition for generations. The distillery from Canelli in the heart of Monferrato processes only fresh pomace from Piedmont – Moscato, Barbera, Nebbiolo – and distills it in small copper stills. The result: characterful grappas with a clear origin, aromatic depth, and a velvety finish. Pure after a meal, slightly tempered at about 14–16 °C.
