Grappa di Moscato - Sauternes Cask Finish 0.7L

Bocchino's Grappa di Moscato with a Sauternes cask finish combines two worlds: the floral intensity of the Moscato grape from Piedmont and the sweet depth of aging in former Sauternes barrels. The result is a grappa with unusual elegance and clear origins.

The house of Bocchino is one of Italy's most traditional grappa distilleries, based for decades in Canelli in the heart of Piedmont—exactly where the Moscato grape for Asti and Moscato d'Asti grows. The distillery processes fresh pomace from the region and consistently places the fruity, aromatic characteristics of the grape variety in the foreground.

On the nose, floral aromas, ripe pome fruit, and a hint of grape must. The palate follows with a pleasant spicy character that transitions into a slightly grassy note. The Sauternes barrels leave their mark: sweet aromas run through the entire sip and lead into a long, aromatic finish. Enjoy neat at 14–16 °C as a digestif after a risotto or a cheese platter with Gorgonzola—or over a large ice cube.

Bocchino

Bocchino has stood for Piedmontese grappa tradition for generations. The distillery from Canelli in the heart of Monferrato processes only fresh pomace from Piedmont – Moscato, Barbera, Nebbiolo – and distills it in small copper stills. The result: characterful grappas with a clear origin, aromatic depth, and a velvety finish. Pure after a meal, slightly tempered at about 14–16 °C.
