Grappa di Barolo - Barolo Cask Finish Double Magnum 3.0L

Bocchino has been distilling for generations in Canelli, in the heart of Piedmont — one of Italy's oldest grappa distilleries. This Grappa di Barolo is made from the pomace of the Nebbiolo grape, harvested in the most renowned cru sites of the Barolo area. The subsequent finish in Barolo barrels gives the distillate an additional layer of depth, which one recognizes immediately on the nose.

In the glass, a multi-layered aroma profile appears: candied orange, dried plum, and white flowers form the core, added to this are cinnamon and hazelnut on the finish. The texture is full-bodied, the intensity remarkable — not a sharp young spirit, but an aged distillate with a clear structure.

Drunk neat at 16–18 °C in a bulbous grappa glass, the aroma profile comes into its own best. The double magnum bottle (3.0 l) is suitable for gastronomy, collectors, or as the centerpiece of a large table round after a Piedmontese menu — classic with tajarin with truffles or a mature Parmigiano Reggiano.

The Distillery

Bocchino

Bocchino has stood for Piedmontese grappa tradition for generations. The distillery from Canelli in the heart of Monferrato processes only fresh pomace from Piedmont – Moscato, Barbera, Nebbiolo – and distills it in small copper stills. The result: characterful grappas with a clear origin, aromatic depth, and a velvety finish. Pure after a meal, slightly tempered at about 14–16 °C.
