Tenuta Carretta Roero Riserva Bric Paradiso DOCG

Tenuta Carretta Roero Riserva Bric Paradiso DOCG
Nebbiolo from the Roero region — the often underestimated sibling of Barolo, grown on the sandy tufa slopes to the left of the Tanaro River. This Riserva from the single vineyard Bric Paradiso demonstrates what the appellation can achieve at the highest level.
Tenuta Carretta is one of the oldest wineries in the Roero region, rooted in Piedmont's winemaking tradition for centuries. The fact that the estate's winemaker was named Italy's best winemaker in 2020 by the international magazine Food and Travel International —an award presented by Riccardo Cotarella, president of the World Federation of Wine Organizations—speaks volumes about the consistently high standards maintained in the cellar.
In the glass, Bric Paradiso displays the typical elegance of Roero-Nebbiolo: dried rose petals, ripe cherry and pomegranate, underpinned by a delicate note of tar and licorice. The palate is tautly structured with lively acidity and ripe, well-integrated tannins—the very foundation of long bottle aging. James Suckling awarded the 2022 vintage 90 points .
