Cuvee San Rocco Extra Brut Rosé Nebbiolo d'Alba Spumante DOC

Nebbiolo is one of the most renowned grape varieties for producing great red wines. However, the grapes have also been vinified to create sparkling wines, often with a significant residual sugar content to make them more palatable and to soften their characteristic tannins on the palate. Full and harmonious on the palate, exceptionally delicious and with excellent structure, lively and enjoyable, and with excellent aging potential. Vinification and maturation: A minimum of 24 months on the lees, followed by 4 months of bottle aging after disgorgement. James Suckling: 93 points for the 2019 vintage.

Tenuta Carretta is a winery steeped in history. Above all, it's a winery where people work together towards a common goal: producing high-quality wines. The winery is located in southern Piedmont, in Piobesi d'Alba in Roero. Its vineyards cover approximately 70 hectares and lie within the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato wine regions, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The name Carretta likely derives from an Albanian noblewoman who lived in the area in the 14th century and was probably the estate's first owner. However, the winery's history officially begins in 1467, when a lease agreement was signed for the purpose of cultivating grapes on the estate's land.
