Cereja Langhe Rosato
In the Piedmontese dialect, "Cereja" means a greeting to welcome someone warmly. The wine is made from the Nebbiolo and Barbera grape varieties, which macerate on the skins for a few hours, giving the wine a color reminiscent of onion skins. Its aromas are intensely vegetal with floral notes reminiscent of fresh blossoms. Added to this are slightly spicy notes. In the mouth, it feels full-bodied, mineral, and pleasantly fresh.

How does the Cereja Langhe Rosato taste?
The wine is dry, full-bodied, and mineral with a pleasant freshness. Aromatic, it shows intense vegetal and floral notes – fresh blossoms, slightly spicy accents. The color is reminiscent of onion skins, typical for the short maceration on the skins of Nebbiolo and Barbera.
What does this rosé pair best with?
Due to its freshness and minerality, it pairs well with fish, seafood, and sushi, but also with antipasti, goat cheese, and vegetarian dishes. It also makes a great aperitif – neat or with olives.
At what temperature should I serve it?
Ideally serve at 8–10 °C. Take it out of the fridge shortly before pouring and do not drink it too cold – at too low temperatures, it loses its aromatic depth.
Is the wine aged in barrels?
No, the Cereja matures exclusively in steel tanks. This preserves the floral and vegetal aromas and ensures the lively freshness that characterizes this rosé.
How long is the wine shelf-stable after opening?
Well sealed in the fridge, it will keep for 2–3 days after opening. Since it is vinified young and fresh, it is recommended to enjoy it as soon as possible after opening.
What does the name "Cereja" mean?
In the Piedmontese dialect, "Cereja" stands for a warm welcome – the name says it all: an uncomplicated, inviting rosé from the Langhe that is meant for sharing.
The Estate
Tenuta Carretta is a winery that can look back on a long history. But above all, it is a winery where people pursue a goal together: to produce high-quality wines. The winery is located in the southern Piedmont, in Piobesi d'Alba in Roero.
The vineyard area covers approx. 80 hectares and is located in the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato wine-growing regions, which are part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The name Carretta is probably attributable to an Albanian noblewoman who lived in the area in the 14th century and was probably the 1st owner of the estate.
However, the actual history of the winery begins in 1467, when a kind of lease agreement was concluded for the purpose of viticulture on the estate's land.
