Planeta Rosé

This rosé from Sicily bears the island's signature: sun-ripened, vibrant, and easy to drink. Planeta, one of Sicily's most renowned family wineries, vinifies it with an eye for fresh structure rather than mere fruitiness.

The Planeta winery cultivates vineyards throughout Sicily – from Menfi in the west to Noto in the southeast. Since the 1990s, the family has been a driving force behind the Sicilian wine renaissance, consistently working with both indigenous and international grape varieties. Their rosé comes from the warmer western part of the island, where volcanic soils and sea breezes shape its aromatic profile.

In the glass, it displays a light salmon pink color. The nose offers fresh strawberry and pomegranate, along with a delicate floral note. On the palate, it is juicy and light, with lively acidity and a short, dry finish – no weight that tires the palate.

Planeta

The descendants of the Planeta family have now grown up. Around the fortress of Ulmo in southwestern Sicily, where the land has been cultivated for five centuries, the spark ignited new ideas and projects for viticulture. Here, the first vineyard was planted with vines in 1985. Since then, various generations of brothers and sisters, children and grandchildren have worked side by side. Their perfect understanding is based not only on the harmony of their personalities and the complementarity of their skills, but above all on a united vision: the love for this land, the desire to protect it, and the ability to imagine a new way each day to give it value.
