Nomad Outland Whisky Mini

A blended Scotch whisky with a Spanish soul: Nomad Outland begins in the Scottish Speyside and ends in Jerez de la Frontera – in the cellar of González Byass, one of the most famous sherry houses in Andalusia.

The concept is consistent: 30 Speyside malt and grain whiskies, after their initial maturation in Scotland, are finished in González Byass Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. The casks impart exactly what one would expect – dark dried fruits, raisins, a hint of caramel from the PX, and the spicy depth of the Oloroso. Vanilla and malt from the Speyside base remain perceptible, while the sherry finish adds a soft, sweet layer. The finish is long and dry with fruitiness.

This 5cl miniature is ideal as a first introduction to the Nomad style or as an addition to a tasting session. Neat at room temperature, the interplay of Scotch base and sherry influence is most pronounced – alternatively, try it over a large ice cube if you prefer something a little more subtle.
