Künstler Sauvignon Blanc Limestone dry

Kiwi, gooseberry, a hint of flint — the Sauvignon Blanc Kalkstein from the Künstler winery shows what Rheingau limestone can bring out of this grape variety: no green sharpness, but a finely chiseled fruit with mineral depth.

The Künstler winery has been one of the most reliable names in the Rheingau for decades — known primarily for its Riesling, but also for its single-varietal white wines that clearly reflect the limestone soil of the vineyard. The name Kalkstein (Limestone ) says it all: the calcareous soils give the Sauvignon Blanc its characteristic mineral notes.

In the glass, it displays lively, youthful fruit aromas of kiwi and gooseberry. The acidity is elegant and supports the wine without developing any harshness. A delicate flint note emerges on the finish—the typical sign of a terroir-driven, expertly crafted white wine.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with goat cheese, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, grilled seafood, or a light herb risotto. Best enjoyed now – the youthful fruitiness is at its peak.
