Künstler Assmannshäuser Rosé Brut nature sparkling wine

Künstler Assmannshäuser Rosé Brut nature sparkling wine
Nine years on the lees – that's not a mistake, but by design. This rosé sparkling wine from the Künstler winery in the Rheingau region was made from pure Pinot Noir and was only disgorged in July 2025. Brut nature : no dosage, no sugar, no compromise.
The extended lees aging leaves a distinct mark: notes of brioche meet concentrated red berry fruit – sour cherry, raspberry – with a hint of walnut on the finish. Fine, creamy bubbles, an unusually dense body for a rosé sparkling wine. Not a light-footed aperitif, but a mature, structured glass with genuine depth.
Serve at 8–10 °C. Goes well with grilled salmon, tuna tataki or strong goat cheese.

Rheingau since 1648. Today in Hochheim, managed by Gunter Künstler and his team. 42 hectares of vineyards on light, loamy soils. The focus is on Riesling – in many variations. Also cultivated are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir. Among the best vineyard sites are the Hochheimer Hölle, the Kirchenstück, and the Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg. Around 300,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Rheingau as it should be – precise, elegant, and full of character.
