Künstler Riesling feinherb

Künstler Riesling feinherb
Off-Dry Riesling from Hochheim — that means: lively acidity meets a hint of residual sweetness, and both remain in balance. Not a heavy, not an arbitrary wine, but one with clear character.
The Weingut Künstler is one of the most well-known addresses in the Rheingau. Franz Michel Künstler manages sites around Hochheim am Main — a place that was already famous for its Rieslings in the 19th century thanks to its south-facing vineyards and continental climate. The soils of loess loam and limestone give the wines their own earthy texture.
In the glass, the Off-Dry shows aromas of white peach and citrus peel, plus a fresh hint of apricot. The acidity is present but not sharp — it is softly caught by the light residual sweetness. The finish is medium-long, fresh, and slightly mineral.
- Food: Vietnamese summer rolls, Thai curry, grilled salmon with ginger glaze, slightly spicy wok dishes
- Temperature: 8–10 °C

Rheingau since 1648. Today in Hochheim, managed by Gunter Künstler and his team. 42 hectares of vineyards on light, loamy soils. The focus is on Riesling – in many variations. Also cultivated are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir. Among the best vineyard sites are the Hochheimer Hölle, the Kirchenstück, and the Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg. Around 300,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Rheingau as it should be – precise, elegant, and full of character.
