Artist Chardonnay Limestone

A Chardonnay that shows what Rheingau limestone can do: soft acidity, precise aromas, long finish.

The Künstler winery in Hochheim am Main has been one of the most reliable addresses in the Rheingau for decades – with a focus on vineyard-specific wines that reflect the character of their terroir. The limestone vineyard is one of the estate's special features: the high lime content in the soil slows down acidity development and gives the wine a natural richness without heaviness.

In the cellar, meticulous handcrafting takes place: aging in wooden barrels , followed by maturation on the fine lees until bottling. The result is clearly visible in the glass – aromas of white peach, mandarin orange, and a hint of roasted hazelnut, beneath which lies a fine, creamy texture derived from lees aging. The finish is long, spicy, and accompanied by a subtle smokiness.
