Künstler Pinot Noir Rosé

Künstler Pinot Noir Rosé
The Spätburgunder Rosé from Weingut Künstler shows what this grape variety can achieve in the Rheingau as a rosé wine. The color is salmon pink with a delicate salmon shimmer — an indication of short skin contact and precise pressing. On the nose, fresh strawberry, raspberry, and a hint of white peach, plus a subtle floral note reminiscent of rose petals. On the palate, a lively, clearly structured acidity appears, which keeps the wine lean and drinkable without letting it become sharp. The finish is dry, mineral, and characterized by a fine saltiness — typical for the Rheingau sites with their Taunus quartzite and phyllite soils.
Weingut Künstler is one of the renowned addresses in the Rheingau and is primarily known for its site-typical Rieslings. The Spätburgunder Rosé follows the same philosophy: no wood, no residual sugar, no makeup — instead fruit, minerality, and precision in production. This makes it a rosé that brings joy beyond the summer.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. At the table, it pairs with grilled salmon with herb butter, goat cheese salads, light pasta dishes with tomatoes and basil, or a platter with Parma ham and melon.

Also cultivated are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir. Among the best vineyard sites are the Hochheimer Hölle, the Kirchenstück, and the Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg. Around 300,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Rheingau as it should be – precise, elegant, and full of character.
