Künstler Riesling dry
A Rheingau Riesling with a clear signature: taut, lively, with more substance than its slim profile initially suggests.
The Künstler winery in Hochheim am Main is one of the most reliable addresses in the Rheingau. Franz Michel Künstler has developed the estate into a top-tier winery — with a focus on dry Rieslings that express the mineral character of the Hochheim vineyards: limestone, loess soils, and a continental climate.
In the glass, the wine displays aromas of fresh stone fruit, herbs, and blossoms, along with a characteristic icy candy note typical of Rheingau Riesling. Lively and delicately juicy on the palate, with a pronounced drive and firm structure—the body appears lighter than it actually is. A touch of integrated extract sweetness balances the acidity, while a slight bitterness and salinity on the finish lend the wine length and depth.
Serving suggestion: Best served at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with asparagus with hollandaise sauce, pan-fried pike-perch, chicken with herbs, or mild goat cheese. Best enjoyed between 2024 and 2028.
