The Künstler winery in Hochheim am Main is one of the most reliable addresses in the Rheingau. Franz Michel Künstler has developed the estate into a top address — with a focus on dry Rieslings that express the mineral character of the Hochheim sites: limestone, loess soils, continental climate.

In the glass, the wine shows aromas of fresh pome fruit, herbs, and blossoms, plus a characteristic ice candy tone that is typical for Rheingau Riesling. On the palate, lively and juicy, with a clear pull and a firm structure — the body appears slimmer than it is. A trace of integrated extract sweetness balances the acidity; slight tartness and saltiness in the finish give the wine length and depth.

Serving recommendation: Good at 10–12 °C. Pairs with asparagus with hollandaise sauce, fried zander, chicken with herbs, or mild goat cheese.
