The aroma is characterized by delicate fruit and a subtle herbal note, typical of red wine grapes, paired with freshness, abundant fruit, and the captivating aromas of red grapes. Wonderfully juicy and incredibly drinkable. The successors to the GIRO line. During Carolin and Oliver's childhood, the European hare was a constant companion in nature. Due to intensive farming practices and the use of so-called total herbicides, the hare population has been severely impacted. Thanks to the increasing use of organic farming methods, we are now seeing more of them in the fields and our vineyards. For us, the European hare embodies the symbol of fertility and joie de vivre.

Kühling-Gillot Winery

Carolin and Oliver Battenfeld's winery is located on the Rhine terrace. Kühling-Gillot is distinguished by its organic farming practices, which have been expanded to include biodynamic methods since 2005. For Carolin and Oliver Battenfeld, the European hare symbolizes fertility and joie de vivre. In recent years, the winery has developed into one of the absolute top producers in Germany. The slate soil of the famous Roter Hang (Red Slope) around Nierstein and Nackenheim produces wines whose blend of delicate fruit and vibrant minerality represents something of an ideal example of a great dry wine.
