On the nose, it unfolds aromas of red berries such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by delicate notes of violet, spices, and a subtle oak influence from aging in oak barrels. On the palate, it is elegant and multifaceted, with balanced acidity and velvety tannins that lend it an impressive structure and a long, lingering finish. Assmannshausen is located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Here, the sometimes extremely steep slopes demand a great deal of work for careful cultivation and preservation. In this way, we can contribute to ensuring that future generations can also experience this World Heritage Site.

Eberbach Monastery

The German winery Kloster Eberbach is located in Eltville am Rhein, near Wiesbaden, in the Rheingau region. Founded in 1969, it is owned by the state of Hesse, and the managing director is Dieter Greiner. Kloster Eberbach has a total vineyard area of 247 hectares, characterized by quartzite, loess, loam, and marl soils, as well as weathered slate. Among the grape varieties cultivated are Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir). The winery's best vineyard sites include Steinberg and Rauenthaler Baiken. Kloster Eberbach produces approximately 1.9 million bottles of wine annually.
