Steinberger Riesling Spätlese Crescentia Goldkapsel

The Steinberger Riesling Spätlese Crescentia Goldkapsel is one of the special selections from the historic Steinberg – a completely walled vineyard in the Rheingau, which Kloster Eberbach has been cultivating since the 12th century.

The gold capsule signifies a hand-picked selection of the best grapes from the late harvest – a quality mark with a long tradition in the Rheingau. The Steinberg vineyard is considered one of Germany's most prestigious single vineyards: approximately 35 hectares on sandy loess soil with a quartzite subsoil, completely enclosed by a historic monastery wall.

In the glass, the wine displays aromas of honeysuckle, ripe lemon zest, and a hint of white peach. The acidity is lively yet integrated, supporting the delicate residual sweetness without overpowering it. The finish is long, with a mineral note reminiscent of the slate soils of the vineyard.
