Kloster Eberbach Spätburgunder dry
A Pinot Noir that brings the centuries-old red wine tradition of the Rheingau into the bottle — matured in the wooden barrel cellar of the Domäne Assmannshausen, the historic heart of the winery.
Kloster Eberbach is one of the oldest and most famous wine estates in Germany. The Cistercian monks began systematic viticulture here in the 12th century — the Domäne Assmannshausen remains the center for the estate's Pinot Noir vinification to this day. The aging in wooden barrels follows this long lineage: not a modern style, but a wine with substance and a focus on maturity.
In the glass, dark cherry and blackberry appear, underscored by a slightly earthy minerality and fine oak spice — the result of barrel aging in Assmannshausen. The structure is medium-weight with soft tannins, and the acidity is well-integrated. The finish remains spicy and lingers.
