Hochheimer Reichestal Kabinett Riesling grand cru fruity sweet

A Riesling Kabinett that perfectly captures the classic Rheingau interplay between fruit sweetness and lively acidity – light-footed, yet surprisingly profound.

The Künstler winery in Hochheim am Main is one of the most reliable addresses in the Rheingau. The family has cultivated the steep slopes around Hochheim for decades, aiming to coax as much character as possible from the calcareous marl soils of the district. The Reichestal vineyard is one of Hochheim's designated grand cru sites – a testament to the high standards with which this Kabinett wine is produced.

52 grams of residual sugar sounds generous, but the crisp acidity balances the sweetness. The result: aromas of white peach, ripe apricot, and a hint of lemon zest, underpinned by a delicate minerality. On the palate, it's lean, with a juicy, almost dry finish – classic Kabinett style without the heaviness.

Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with Asian cuisine with chili heat, salmon teriyaki, goat cheese, or simply as an aperitif on a warm evening. Drink now or store until 2027.
