Glen Moray Sherry Cask Finish Single Malt Whiskey

Glen Moray Sherry Cask Finish Single Malt Whiskey
A classic Speyside single malt that combines its characteristically smooth style with the depth of a sherry finish.
The Glen Moray Distillery in Elgin has been producing whisky in the heart of Speyside since 1897 – a region known for its fruity, approachable malts. After its primary maturation in American ex-bourbon casks, this bottling undergoes a finishing period in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez . The result is a whisky that doesn't abandon the vanilla notes of the bourbon maturation, but rather complements them.
The nose reveals dried fruits—raisin, fig—combined with a hint of walnut and mild oak spice. On the palate, it is soft and rounded, with notes of caramel and dark dried fruit. The finish is pleasantly long, slightly spicy and nutty, without peat or smoke.
Best enjoyed neat at room temperature, perhaps with a drop of water to unlock the fruity notes. If you like, you can also drink it over a large ice cube. An uncomplicated introduction to the world of sherry cask malts — or a reliable everyday whisky for experienced drinkers.
