Gérard Bertrand Cote des Roses Sauvignon Blanc

Gérard Bertrand Cote des Roses Sauvignon Blanc
A fresh Sauvignon Blanc from the Languedoc – clearly structured, aromatic, and easy to drink. Gérard Bertrand focuses here on the typical style of the grape variety, complemented by the Mediterranean character of the region.
Gérard Bertrand is one of the most renowned wineries in the Languedoc. The estate cultivates several vineyards between Carcassonne and the Mediterranean Sea on calcareous, mineral-rich soils – the foundation for the fresh character of this wine. The Côte des Roses line represents approachable, varietally typical wines from the South of France.
On the nose, citrus fruit, a hint of guava, and white blossoms. On the palate, it's straightforward, with lively acidity and a mineral undertone that underpins the wine's lightness. The finish is short and clean. Falstaff awarded 90 points to the 2019 vintage.
Serving suggestion: well chilled at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with goat cheese, grilled seafood, or a light salad with vinaigrette. Also suitable as a simple aperitif.
