Famiglia Cotarella Marciliano Rosso Umbria IGP

Famiglia Cotarella Marciliano Rosso Umbria IGP
A powerful red wine from Umbria, bearing the signature of Riccardo Cotarella – one of Italy's most influential oenologists.
The Cotarella family cultivates their vineyards around Montecchio in southern Umbria, where clay-rich soils and a continental climate with hot summers create ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. The Marciliano is considered the estate's flagship cuvée – consistently crafted for ripeness and structure.
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red color. The nose offers ripe blackberry, blackcurrant, and a hint of cedar. On the palate, it features dense but well-integrated tannins, moderate acidity, and a long, slightly spicy finish with notes of dark chocolate and tobacco.
