Ferentano Lazio IGP

Ferentano Lazio IGP
Ferentano takes its name from Ferento – a Roman archaeological site located right next to the vineyards from which the Roscetto grape for this wine originates. Roscetto is a rare, indigenous variety from Lazio, hardly known outside the region.
The Cotarella family is one of the most influential names in modern Italian winemaking. Riccardo Cotarella, one of Italy's most influential oenologists, built up the family winery Falesco in the border region between Lazio and Umbria – focusing on local grape varieties and contemporary cellar technology.
In the glass, the Ferentano displays ripe banana and pineapple, along with vegetal herbal notes and a hint of vanilla from the oak aging. On the palate, it is rich and smooth, with a rounded body and a lingering finish.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C . Drink now – not a wine for long-term storage. Pairs well with pasta with cream sauces, roast poultry, or mild Pecorino cheese.
