Domaine Chanson Beaune Clos des Marconnets Premier Cru

A classic Burgundy wine from the northern part of the Beaune appellation — structured, aromatically complex and with the typical signature of a grand premier cru.

Domaine Chanson is one of the oldest wineries in the Côte de Beaune, founded in 1750. The Clos des Marconnets —named after the Germanic tribe of the Marcomanni—lies in the northernmost part of the appellation, where the soils are richer in clay and the wines more full-bodied than in the central vineyards. Chanson cultivates four hectares of the Clos, approximately 40% of the total area.

A brilliant ruby red in the glass. The nose offers peony and violet, with notes of stewed cherry and blackberry, and a hint of vanilla and clove. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with fine acidity and elegant tannins without harsh edges—the texture is dense but not heavy. The finish lingers with fruity and spicy notes.

Domaine Chanson

Domaine Chanson, founded in 1750, is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Burgundy. It is among the few estates that have survived since the 18th century. Since 1999, it has been part of the Bollinger Group, which has undertaken extensive restorations and modernizations to make the winery one of the finest in Burgundy. Nestled amidst picturesque hills, the 45 hectares of vineyards flourish in the most prestigious appellations, including Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Chablis. Here, tradition and modernity blend seamlessly, creating a unique symbiosis that imparts a distinctive character to each wine. The historic Bastion, a 15th-century wine cellar, is the heart of the estate. Within these venerable walls, the wines mature to true perfection under ideal conditions. Each bottle tells a story of dedication and craftsmanship.
