Domaine Chanson Beaune Clos des Fèves Monopole Premier Cru

Clos des Fèves is one of Beaune's most renowned single vineyards — 4.5 hectares of walled vineyard, entirely owned by Domaine Chanson. This monopole lies in the heart of the Premier Cru zone, on clay-limestone soil facing southeast, and has been considered one of the most reliable addresses for Beaune Burgundy for centuries.

Chanson is one of the oldest négociants in the Côte de Beaune — founded in 1750, now part of the Bollinger Group. The estate cultivates its vineyards according to sustainable principles, and vinification follows a classic Burgundian approach: whole-cluster vinification and aging in oak barrels.

In the glass, the wine displays aromas of sour cherry and raspberry, underpinned by white pepper and a hint of cedar. The tannins are present but fine-grained—typical of well-situated Beaune vineyards. The finish is long, with a spicy note indicative of oak aging. Medium to full-bodied, with good acidity.

Serving temperature 16–17 °C , best enjoyed by 2032. Pairs well with duck breast with cherries, veal kidneys or mature Époisses.
