Rosso & Bianco Cabernet Sauvignon

Rosso & Bianco Cabernet Sauvignon
An approachable Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County – fruity, with a light smoky aroma and soft tannins that bring immediate pleasure.
Francis Ford Coppola founded his winery in 1975 in the Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, Northern California. The Rosso & Bianco line is the everyday heart of the portfolio: wines that translate the warm Californian climate into approachable, uncomplicated bottles – without compromising on craftsmanship. Sonoma County provides ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon: warm days and cool ocean breezes from the Pacific that preserve acidity and control ripening.
In the glass, the wine shines ruby red. The nose reveals dark blackberry and ripe cherry, accompanied by a subtle hint of oak and a touch of smoke – typical of short-aged Californian Cabernets. On the palate, it is round and medium-bodied: the tannins are polished and soft, the acidity moderate, the finish short to medium with a slightly sweet fruit note. Not a wine for the cellar shelf – but one that goes straight from the shelf to the glass after a long day.
Serving suggestion: Drink now, do not store. Serving temperature 16–17 °C. Pairs well with pasta with tomato sauce, grilled burgers, pulled pork, or mild cheddar. Also a great, easy accompaniment to pizza.
