Francis Ford Coppola Winery

The world-renowned director purchased the magnificent Niebaum Cottage in Rutherford (Nappe Valley) back in 1979, originally intended as a weekend retreat. After its renovation, the opportunity for viticulture was seized, and this quickly proved fruitful. This led to the creation of the two product lines, Rosso & Blanco and Diamond Collection, which are still in production today. The Rosso & Blanco line, in particular, is a tribute to his Italian roots. In 1998, Corey Beck joined the winery, rising to the position of director and, in 2014, being appointed president of Francis Ford Coppola Winery.

Francis Ford Coppola Winery —
Napa Valley meets Italian heritage

What began as a weekend retreat in 1979 is now one of California's most renowned wineries. Francis Ford Coppola acquired the historic Niebaum Cottage in Rutherford, Napa Valley , and discovered not only a sanctuary but also the potential for serious winemaking. The vineyards surrounding Rutherford, known for their deep soils and Mediterranean climate, quickly yielded impressive results.

From this fusion of film history and wine culture emerged two lines that continue to shape the portfolio today: the Diamond Collection, featuring classically crafted Californian wines, and Rosso & Bianco, a tribute to Coppola's Italian roots—approachable in style, yet with a clear connection to its origin. Both lines represent an approach that prioritizes enjoyment over prestige.

Corey Beck has been in charge of the winery since 1998, initially as cellar master, and since 2014 as president. Under his leadership, the winery has refined its style: ripe fruit, a soft structure, wines that can be enjoyed without a long wait—whether for a midweek dinner or a special occasion.
