Coppola Diamond Collection Chardonnay

Coppola Diamond Collection Chardonnay
A California Chardonnay from Francis Ford Coppola – approachable and aromatic, with the typical West Coast profile.
The Diamond Collection is the entry-level line of the Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Geyserville, Sonoma County. This Chardonnay is a blend of grapes from several Californian wine regions: Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Monterey, and Paso Robles. Partial aging in oak barrels gives the wine its buttery, creamy texture.
In the glass, aromas of ripe pear, passion fruit, and a hint of vanilla from the oak are revealed. The palate is full-bodied, with soft acidity and a citrusy note on the finish. Not an angular wine – rather round and pleasing.
Serving suggestion: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with roasted chicken with herb butter, creamy pasta, mild goat cheese, or grilled salmon. Also suitable as a casual aperitif – especially when you want a relaxed atmosphere.

The world-renowned director purchased the magnificent Niebaum Cottage in Rutherford (Nappe Valley) back in 1979, originally intended as a weekend retreat. After its renovation, the opportunity for viticulture was seized, and this quickly proved fruitful. This led to the creation of the two product lines, Rosso & Blanco and Diamond Collection, which are still in production today. The Rosso & Blanco line, in particular, is a tribute to his Italian roots. In 1998, Corey Beck joined the winery, rising to the position of director and, in 2014, being appointed president of Francis Ford Coppola Winery.
