Coppola Rosso & Bianco Chardonnay

The Rosso & Bianco line was inspired by Francis Ford Coppola's Italian roots. His grandfather secretly made wine in his family's cellar in New York during Prohibition. The Rosso & Bianco wines are among the first wines produced by the Francis Ford Coppola Winery and are still available today. The Rosso is a blend of virtually equal proportions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Zinfandel, and Petite Syrah. In the glass, it displays a deep red color, almost purple. Its aromas are reminiscent of a mix of various wild berries, along with hints of clove and nutmeg. There's also a touch of tobacco and a hint of leather. The wine has a beautiful structure and a long finish.

Francis Ford Coppola Winery

The world-renowned director purchased the magnificent Niebaum Cottage in Rutherford (Nappe Valley) back in 1979, originally intended as a weekend retreat. After its renovation, the opportunity for viticulture was seized, and this quickly proved fruitful. This led to the creation of the two product lines, Rosso & Blanco and Diamond Collection, which are still in production today. The Rosso & Blanco line, in particular, is a tribute to his Italian roots. In 1998, Corey Beck joined the winery, rising to the position of director and, in 2014, being appointed president of Francis Ford Coppola Winery.
