Benedete Ribolla Gialla Venezie Giulia IGT
Ribolla Gialla is one of the oldest grape varieties in Friuli – and Collavini's Benedete shows why this variety is gaining attention, especially among white wine drinkers: lively, clear, with a real character structure.
Collavini has been based in Corno di Rosazzo in Friuli since 1896 and is one of the region's most renowned wineries. The Benedete comes from the Venezia Giulia IGT – an area that benefits from the Adriatic breeze and the cool influence of the Julian Alps. This combination gives Ribolla Gialla its characteristic freshness.
In the glass, it displays a light straw-yellow color. The nose offers aromas of grapefruit, fresh lemon zest, and a hint of white blossoms. On the palate, it is juicy with a slightly creamy texture, lively acidity, and a lingering, slightly salty-mineral finish.
Serving suggestion: Best served at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with grilled sea bass, fried calamari, light risotto with lemon, or as a simple aperitif on warm evenings. Drink now – no aging required.
