Broy Collio DOC

The Broy Collio DOC from Collavini is one of the most famous white wine cuvées from the Collio – one of the most precise wine-growing regions in Italy, right on the Slovenian border.

Collavini is one of Friuli's established wineries and produces Broy as a blend of classic Collio grape varieties. The result is a full-bodied white wine with a deep golden color, offering tropical aromas of ripe mango and pineapple, complemented by a hint of acacia honey and subtle vanilla – a sign of aging in oak barrels or on the lees. On the palate, it is full-bodied with well-integrated acidity and a lingering, slightly creamy finish.

The best way to drink Broy is at 10–12 °C – as an accompaniment to seared scallops, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, or smoked salmon. It also makes a great robust aperitif with antipasti from Friuli.

Collavini

The Italian winery Collavini is located in Corno di Rosazzo, in the northeast of Italy. The company's history began in 1896 in Rivignano when it was founded by Eugenio Collavini. Since 1966, however, Collavini has been based in Corno di Rosazzo, where it is managed by Manlio Collavini. The family business cultivates a variety of grapes on a total of 170 hectares of vineyards. These include Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Tocai Friulano.
