Clemens Busch Busch Riesling Felsenterasse GG tr Marienburg

The Marienburg in Pünderich is considered one of the great Riesling sites of the Mosel — steep, slate-rich, uncompromising. Clemens Busch has managed it biodynamically for decades, harvests by hand, and ferments spontaneously in wooden barrels. The Felsenterrasse GG is the direct expression of this work: not a wine for quick drinking moments, but one that needs time and gives time.

On the nose, dried herbs, yellow plum, and a clear flint accent appear — the slate of the site is palpable. On the palate, a lively, cool acidity carries the wine, plus a light tannin that is unusual for a Riesling and provides structure. In the finish, mineral, slightly petrol-like, with a hint of dark berries. Long and precise.

The wine continues to develop with further storage. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs with zander on asparagus, mature Comté, or strong Asian dishes with ginger and lemongrass.
