Chardonnay Adrianna White Stones

The Adrianna White Stones comes from one of the highest-altitude vineyards in Argentina – and you notice it immediately in the glass: taut acidity, cool minerality, a Chardonnay that has nothing in common with the buttery heavyweights from warmer climates.

The Catena Zapata winery in Mendoza has significantly shaped high-altitude viticulture in Argentina. The Adrianna vineyard is located at around 1,500 meters in Gualtallary – a high-plateau site with calcareous, stony soil (hence the name "White Stones") and extreme temperature differences between day and night. These conditions slow down ripening and preserve the natural acidity of the grapes.

On the nose, the wine shows green ginger, white peach, and a hint of citrus zest. On the palate, a precise, almost cool minerality follows – chalky, slightly salty – with notes of herbs and ripe stone fruit in the background. The acidity structure is lively without sharpness, the finish long and dry.
