Baron de Ley Gran Reserva Vina Imas Gold Edition double magnum

A Gran Reserva from Viña Imas — the heart of the Baron de Ley winery on the Ebro River bend in Rioja Alta. And all this in a double magnum : 3 liters, which slows down the aging process and gives the wine additional depth.

Baron de Ley was founded in 1985 at the Imas Monastery and is now one of the most renowned producers of classic Rioja wines. The Viña Imas vineyard is the estate's own single vineyard directly surrounding the monastery buildings—a controlled designation of origin, which is particularly important for a Gran Reserva. As a Gran Reserva, the wine ages for at least two years in oak barrels and a further three years in the bottle before leaving the cellar.

In the glass, it displays aromas of cranberry and ripe dark cherries , underpinned by leather, tobacco, and a clear hint of vanilla from barrel aging. The palate is soft and round, the tannins well integrated, and the finish long with a spicy note of clove and cedar.
