Baron de Ley Finca Monasterio Reserva

The château, a former Benedictine monastery dating back to the 16th century, is situated on the left bank of the Ebro Valley, surrounded by 100 hectares of vineyards planted directly around the château, ensuring a short journey from the vine to the cellar for the grapes. Barón de Ley uses only estate-grown grapes, making it a true estate bottle. Furthermore, Barón de Ley has permission to cultivate Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and blend them with the classic Tempranillo. Finally, new barriques are always used for the multi-year aging process. This gives Barón de Ley wines a new, international style that clearly distinguishes them from typical Rioja wines. The Finca Monasterio presents itself in a deep, intense cherry-red color. Even before the glass is swirled, it reveals hints of roasted coffee, cinnamon, and clove, later complemented by aromas of cedar and nutmeg. An expressive red, velvety, with a long finish.
