Andrius Sauvignon Blanc DOC Magnum

A Sauvignon Blanc from South Tyrol that shows what limestone soil and cool mountain air can bring out of this grape variety – not a light summer wine, but a structured white wine with genuine aging potential.

Cantina Andrian is located in the Überetsch, one of the oldest wine-growing regions in South Tyrol. The cooperative works with wine-growing families whose vineyards are situated on limestone-rich soil – this shapes the minerality and the taut acid structure of the wines. The Andrius is the winery's flagship, vinified for depth rather than freshness.

Fermented in stainless steel, then six months on the fine lees – 80% in tank, 20% in tonneau. The wood remains in the background: no vanilla scent, but texture and volume. On the nose, gooseberry, white currant, and a hint of mountain herbs. On the palate, juicy with a spicy bite, the acidity integrated, the finish long and slightly salty-mineral.

The magnum bottle provides additional protection for the wine and slows down its development. Serving temperature 10–12 °C.
Pairs well with grilled zander with caper butter, vitello tonnato, or a robust goat cheese from the Vinschgau valley.

Cantina Andrian

Cantina Andrian – this is South Tyrol as it should be: rooted in a long history, yet never stagnant. Behind this winery lies a conviction that you can taste in every glass: tradition is not a museum. It is something living, constantly evolving – harvest after harvest, generation after generation. The people at Andrian are always searching for new paths, without forgetting their roots. What does that mean? Wines that embody the soul of the place – the cool mountain air, the mineral-rich soils, the unique character of alpine vineyards – and yet feel fresh and contemporary. Not just managing the status quo, but a truly distinctive style. When you open a wine from Andrian, you drink a piece of South Tyrol – vibrant, honest, and full of character.
