Anrar Pinot Noir Riserva DOC

A South Tyrolean Pinot Noir that shows what the high altitudes of the Adige Valley can bring out of this sensitive grape variety: structured, vibrant, with real depth.

Cantina Andrian is located in the village of the same name, north of Merano, nestled among vineyards at an altitude of approximately 400 to 600 meters. The cooperative has worked closely with its member wineries for decades and specializes in single-varietal, vineyard-specific wines. The Anrar is the estate's Riserva line—aged in new oak barrels, which gives the wine structure and those slightly smoky undertones that distinguish it from simpler bottlings.

In the glass: sour cherry, wild blackberry, and blueberry, followed by tea leaves, a hint of clove, and a subtle roasted aroma. The acidity is present but integrated—it carries the fruit without being sharp. Tannins are fine and firm, the finish is long with a spicy note.

Serving temperature 16–17 °C. Drinking window: now until 2030, with further development in the cellar. Pairs well with wild boar goulash, braised leg of lamb, or mature mountain cheese from Trentino.

Cantina Andrian

Cantina Andrian – this is South Tyrol as it should be: rooted in a long history, yet never stagnant. Behind this winery lies a conviction that you can taste in every glass: tradition is not a museum. It is something living, constantly evolving – harvest after harvest, generation after generation. The people at Andrian are always searching for new paths, without forgetting their roots. What does that mean? Wines that embody the soul of the place – the cool mountain air, the mineral-rich soils, the unique character of alpine vineyards – and yet feel fresh and contemporary. Not just managing the status quo, but a truly distinctive style. When you open a wine from Andrian, you drink a piece of South Tyrol – vibrant, honest, and full of character.
