Doran Chardonnay Riserva DOC Magnum

Doran Chardonnay Riserva DOC Magnum
A South Tyrolean Chardonnay with Burgundian characteristics: fully ripe, creamy, with the minerality of the limestone soils of the Adige Valley in its background.
Cantina Andrian is located in the heart of South Tyrol, near Andrian, between Bolzano and Merano. The cooperative works with winegrowers whose families have cultivated the vines for generations — at high altitudes that ensure cool nights and thus freshness and aromatics.
Doran Riserva is made exclusively from small-berried, French Chardonnay clones grown on mineral-rich limestone soils. Fermentation takes place entirely in tonneau, with 30% of that time in new oak barrels. Regular bâtonnage—stirring the lees—ensures that the oak and fruit flavors blend harmoniously.
The glass reveals ripe yellow apple, brioche, and a hint of roasted hazelnut. The body is full with a creamy texture; the acidity remains present and provides structure. A long, slightly mineral finish.
Serving temperature: 12–14 °C. Drinking window: now until 2030. The magnum bottle develops particularly slowly and evenly — ideal if you want to cellar the wine for another two to three years.
